TURAE DABNEY
Turae Dabney is the executive director of the Indianapolis Black Chamber of Commerce. In this position she is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the organization.

Turae began her career as an intern for the Indiana House Democrat Caucus. Upon completion of the internship she became the legislative assistant to the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus. During her tenure at the Indiana General Assembly, Turae assisted in the planning and implementation of the IBLC prayer breakfast, legislative weekend and the National Black Caucus of State Legislators Annual Conference.

Turae is a graduate of the University of Evansville where she received a B.S in Political Science, a B.A. in International Affairs and a Masters  of Science in Public Administration. During her undergraduate studies she attended Harlaxton College in England and was president of the Student Government Association.

Presently, Turae is, an executive board member of the Crooked Creek CDC, a board member of the University of Evansville , a delegate to the Leon H. Sullivan Summit, and a volunteer with the Mercy Foundation and United Way of Central Indiana.
